The IOU Hebden Bridge Hostel is ten minutes walking distance above the town in a peaceful woodland setting, nestled into the hillside and part of the historic Birchcliffe Centre.
The Calder Valley and the South Pennines are well known for the outdoor activities offered on the moors, hills and rivers, but Calderdale also has a fast-growing reputation as a thriving arts community and cultural centre. The Hostel is centrally located in the borough with easy access to explore the heritage and history of the region and to discover the towns of Halifax, Todmorden, Sowerby Bridge and of course Hebden Bridge with their growing food, arts and cultural scenes.

Hebden Bridge Hostel
The Birchcliffe Centre
From Hebden Bridge town centre or Commercial Street, walk or drive up Birchcliffe Road. Please note, the postcode will take you to Chapel Avenue on the left, ignore that and take the next left into Highfield, just after the Birchcliffe Centre (former Chapel).
If driving, please park in the Upper Car Park. The Hostel is located to the rear of The Birchcliffe Centre. From the Upper Car Park, take one of the paths on the left down the hill and find the Hostel at the back of the former Chapel.
Disabled Parking is on the Lower Car Park with step free access directly down to the Hostel (please request a space when booking)
If walking, walk up Highfield to the Lower Car Park, follow the path down to the Hostel.

Hebden Bridge is well connected with trains running regularly to Manchester, Bradford and Leeds. The hostel is a fifteen-minute walk away from the train station, and the 595 Bus departs from the station and stops outside the Birchcliffe Centre and Hostel.
