About IOU

IOU is a charity and multi–disciplinary arts organisation that explores the intersection between art, engineering and technology from our Studio, Gallery and Workshop in West Yorkshire. We collaborate with established and new artists to blend some of the most exciting technologies with performance, music, video and traditional artisan skill to create immersive experiences for all in unexpected places.   IOUtheatre.org

Our core purpose and mission is to make original productions in and of our time to shape the art, artists, and communities of the future; to support artists, and connect with local communities and public audiences.

The Hostel is a unique way to engage with local residents and visitors to Calderdale and to support artists, creatives and the cultural ecology of the region.

The Hostel is not for profit, with surplus reinvested into the IOU artist community and hostel programme.
